ERASMUS Incomings
We are glad that you have decided to spend your Erasmus stay at the Department of Spatial Planning.
The TU Dortmund University has compiled all information concerning application, enrollment and arrival in Dortmund on its pages.
For specific questions about your stay and course selection at the Department of Spatial Planning, please feel free to contact the ERASMUS coordinator Sandra Fortuna.
To get an overview of the courses offered at the Department of Spatial Planning in advance, please feel free to have a look at the lectures for incomings:
Course Selection
The Department of Spatial Planning offers courses taught in English each semester. Courses may be selected with consideration of the Bachelor's/Master's degree level. Please use the following list and not the Bachelor or Master Handbook for German or international students, since these courses are designed especially for ERASMUS students, as they only take one semester and have enough credits for your OLA.
All courses entered in the Learning Agreement must be agreed upon with the department coordinator, Sandra Fortuna. The exact schedule of courses must be reviewed at the beginning of the lecture period so that any necessary changes can be made.
Likewise, changes to the courses are possible during the lecture period in order to re-enter them into the OLA (During the Mobility). The OLA must be confirmed by the coordinator of the home university and the Erasmus coordinator of the Department of Spatial Planning.
On-site organization
The ERASMUS office pairs each incoming student with a buddy who will meet them at the train station and escort them to their accommodation. This buddy remains in contact with the student before and after their arrival in Dortmund. Additionally, we organize a welcome week and various events to help you connect with fellow students and get to know the city of Dortmund.
The examination periods for the Incomings are generally expected after the end of the lecture period, so that the stay should not be completed until 2-3 weeks after the end of the lecture period.
As soon as the results of the study achievements are announced by the lecturers, the Transcript of Records can be created and sent to the students in a timely manner.
