ERASMUS Incomings
We are glad that you have decided to spend your Erasmus stay at the Department of Spatial Planning.
The TU Dortmund University has compiled all information concerning application, enrollment and arrival in Dortmund on its pages.
For specific questions about your stay and course selection at the Department of Spatial Planning, please feel free to contact the ERASMUS coordinator Dr. Mehdi Vazifedoost.
To get an overview of the courses offered at the Department of Spatial Planning in advance, please feel free to have a look at the lectures for incomings:
Course Selection
The Department of Spatial Planning offers courses taught in English each semester. Courses may be selected with consideration of the Bachelor's/Master's degree level. Courses from the SPRING master's program as well as the Planning Project for Beginners (Module 2) and the Advanced Planning Project (Module 3) may not be selected. Furthermore, courses from Urban Design Studio I and II may not be selected.
All courses entered in the Learning Agreement must be agreed upon with the department coordinator, Dr. Mehdi Vazifedoost. The exact schedule of courses must be reviewed at the beginning of the lecture period so that any necessary changes can be made.
Likewise, changes to the courses are possible during the lecture period in order to re-enter them into the Learning (During the Mobility). The Learning Agreement must be confirmed by the coordinator of the home university and the Erasmus coordinator of the Department of Spatial Planning.
On-site organization
The Erasmus coordinator organizes the pick-up of the incomings upon arrival in Dortmund in order to offer initial support with regard to accommodation and an introduction to TU Dortmund and the Department of Spatial Planning.
The examination periods for the Incomings are generally expected after the end of the lecture period, so that the stay should not be completed until 2-3 weeks after the end of the lecture period.
As soon as the results of the study achievements are announced by the lecturers, the Transcript of Records can be created and sent to the students in a timely manner.
