Welcome SPRING Batch No. 40!

On 05th and 06th October 2023 12 new SPRING students from 2 different continents were welcomed at the TU Dortmund University. Most of them have already arrived in Germany and were able to attend the opening ceremony in presence at Campus South. The rest were added digitally so that everyone had the opportunity to participate and get to know each other.
On the first day the students were introduced to the TU Dortmund University, the Department of Spatial Planning and the SPRING pro­gram as well as getting to know how to deal with the University’s internal networks. For this purpose the students were personally welcomed by:

  • Prof. Dr. Tessa Flatten (Vice President International Affairs)
  • Prof. Dr. Dietwald Gruehn (Dean of the Department)
  • Dr. Anne Weber (SPRING coordinator)
  • Dr. Raffael Beier (Interim Head of SPRING)
  • and Andreas Tinschert (Student Council „Raumplanung“)

After lunch, the international students had the opportunity to meet separately with their pro­gram and Erasmus coordinators (Sandra Fortuna, Dr. Anne Weber and Dr. Mehdi Vazifedoost) to discuss pro­gram and pro­gram-specific issues and organisational matters.

 

On the 06th October, the SPRING students focused on getting to know each other through poster presentations.

The SPRING team wishes the new SPRING batch and all new international students a good start to their studies and is looking forward to the academic year together.
