Jilan Hosni (Batch 2015/17) from Egypt graduated at UACh, Valdiva, Chile in 2017. Since the completion of SPRING, she interim works as a scientific assistant at the Institute of Urban Planning and Design in Stuttgart, Germany. Now she visited SPRING.

On Wednesday, November 28, Hosni visited SPRING where she hold a presentation about her Master Thesis results in the scope of a SPRING Colloquium.

Here is what she presented:

Assessing Nodality in Neighbourhoods in Transformation: A Concept of Sustainable Urban Form. The Case Study of Rahue Bajo, Osorno, Chile.

"Putting in value the importance of human interaction in neighbourhoods to promote vitality, public spaces represent the hub of social control over territories. The objective of the research was to evaluate the quality of public spaces, according to how users perceive their space. A new perspective was highlighted in the presentation to help new tools and methods to achieve better design results."

The SPRING-Team would like to thank Jilan very much for her participation in the SPRING Colloquium and wishes her only the best for the future.
