Academic Writing and Presentations for Students and Researchers at TU Dortmund University
The range of courses for academic writing and presentation for German and English in the zhb field of foreign languages. It includes courses during the semester, short workshops and individual writing advice. Below you will find the course catalog list for SoSe 2022.
# Registration
Registration for our events takes place online via the course platform of the zhb field of foreign languages www.cms.zhb.tu-dortmund.de/fs2/Anmeldung. A pre-registration via the SSO access with the TU account is necessary.
# Content
Academic writing and presentation skills are the key to an effective and successful course of study. These range from transcripts in the seminar, to impulse lectures, to final and doctoral theses. The writing workshop offer of the zhb Foreign Languages department offers cross-disciplinary support in the implementation of academic writing and lecture projects in German and English.
As part of an additional qualification “writing advice”, students and doctoral candidates also have the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of writing didactics and consulting methods as well as gain experience in consulting practice in order to be able to independently support students in the writing of scholarly texts and accompany them in their writing process as student peer advisors.
# Target group
The courses are aimed at students, doctoral candidates and postdocs of all disciplines who wish to train and optimize their writing skills in German (mother/second/foreign language) as well as in English.
