The first SPRING Alumni Latin America Paper Collaboration was published on Habitat International!
Led by Dr. Himanshu Shekhar, along with 12 fellow Alumni, the article titled, "Are leading urban centers predisposed to global risks- A[n] analysis of the global south from COVID-19 perspective", has been peer-reviewed and approved for publication by Habitat International on their Volume 121 issue this year.
Using the COVID-19 case and the World Risk Index Framework, the team selected 20 cities from 10 countries (India, Pakistan, Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Iran, Bangladesh, and, Ghana) to analyse and understand if with urbanization, these leading cities or urban centers are inherently vulnerable and susceptible to global risks.
