You may have asked yourself whether you should spend time abroad during your studies?

The answer is, "Of course!" That's where the International Office can help you. There you can get help with what opportunities you have to go abroad, which destinations are available, and how you can apply for financial support. 

# Opportunities
You can gain experience abroad in many ways, whether as a semester (or year) abroad at a host university, through an internship or via volunteer work. It is also possible to do a final thesis abroad or participate in short-term programs that last only a few weeks. Find the format that suits you best. No matter what you study, you will benefit greatly from the experience.

# Destinations
Your destination can be in Europe or overseas. Many places offer programs in English, so you do not have to have a perfect command of the local language. However, basic knowledge still helps in everyday life so you can discover the country's culture as well. 

Just do not forget that the application deadline for the Overseas Exchange Program in the academic year 2025/26 already ends on 30 October:

# Funding
There are a number of funding programs available for study abroad, some of which are even awarded regardless of grades. We can help you choose the right scholarship program so your travel plans don't fall through because of money. 

# Events and Presentations
On our website under „Missed a Presentation“ you will find recordings from events and presentations. Use those to get an overview and then discuss your questions afterwards with Laura Hope in the Office Hours.

You are still not sure? We are also happy to discuss your concerns with you individually. An appointment is not necessary fort he telephone/digital advising. The appointments for in-person advising can be booked online.
