Dear Students,

With so many demands on our attention, writing the kind of extended project we often undertake as academics has become increasingly difficult. It’s more important than ever to set goals, set ourselves schedules, commit to deadlines, and keep ourselves working.

Luckily, some of the same devices that often divert our attention expand our tools for refocusing it. Reaching out to peers, setting schedules and reminders, and managing long-form writing has arguably never been easier.

Short Workshop Series III: Managing Your Writing Project provides students with guidelines for establishing good habits and overcoming challenges while you’re working on a degree thesis, research paper, or other extended piece of writing.

The three workshops remaining in this series will be held online. If you have a longer writing project coming up this academic year, join us for the following sessions:

  • Developing and Managing Your Writing Goals – Mon, 13 Dec., 10:30 – 12:00
  • Strategies for Overcoming Writer’s Block – Mon, 17 Jan., 10:30 – 12:00
  • Using Online Tools to Edit Your Paper – Mon, 31 Jan., 10:30 – 12:00
