No, the application has to be made online via www.uni-asstist.de/en.

Application via uni-assist costs 75,- (Euro).

Semester fees per semester are apprx. 315 Euro. This includes, among other things, the semester ticket (free public transport).

Following English requirements have to be fulfilled:

  • TOEFL (550 points paper based, 213 computer based, 80 internet based) Please have your TOEFL-certificate sent to the institutional code 8523
  • or IELTS (6,0) 
  • or a diploma from an English-speaking school or an English-speaking course of study

 

Following German requirements have to be fulfilled (for german Master Spatial Planning):

  • DSH-2
  • TDN 4 (TestDaF)
  • Civil Engineering
  • Business and Administration
  • Surveying and Geomatics Engineering
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Architectural engineering
  • Architecture*

 

*the degrees in architecture have to checked individually. We do not give general approvals for applicants with a degree in architecture anymore

If you are applying with a degree in a subject other than spatial planning, it is helpful to explain in a statement your motivation to enter the master pro­gram spatial planning.

Yes. If you enrol within the first four weeks of the lecture period, you can start studying at the department.

Unfortunately this is not possible. An admission is only valid for one semester. A new application is necessary for the start of studies in the following semester.

No, there are no compulsory courses - however, we strongly recommend taking courses on academic writing. These courses are offered both internally and externally (www.zhb.de).

No, the Master's pro­gram can be designed very individually and flexibly. There is also no timetable prepared by the department, this is up to the students.

After approx. 4 weeks, the respective lecturer will ask whether the seminars should be graded or ungraded.

Basically, the students have to work out the topic themselves. However, there are some suggestions on the websites of the corresponding subject areas.
