No, the application has to be made online via www.uni-asstist.de/en or via the Campusportal
Costs for applications for non-EU applicants via uni-assist are 75,- (Euro)
Semester fees per semester are apprx. 321 Euro. This includes, among other things, the semester ticket (free public transport in Germany).
Good English skills, at least at B2 level / C 1according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please be aware that the University does not accept home editions of IELTS and TOEFL!

Yes. If you enrol within the first two weeks of the lecture period, you can start studying at the department.
Your application is valid for the upcoming winter semester and also for the winter semester the following year. Enrollment for the summer semester is not possible.

No, there are no compulsory courses - however, we strongly recommend taking courses on academic writing. These courses are offered both internally and externally (www.zhb.de).
To ensure that you can complete your degree in four semesters, there are specific required courses for each semester. However, in modules with elective options, class times vary, so there is some flexibility.
Basically, the students have to work out the topic themselves. However, there are some suggestions on the websites of the corresponding research groups.
