On the 8th of October the new SPRING Batch 2026/27 was welcomed at TU Dortmund University.

The day commenced with welcoming remarks from Prof. Dr. Maximiliane Wilkesmann (Vice President for Diversity and International Affairs), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Othengrafen (Dean of the Department), and Ewan Gibson, who spoke on behalf of the department's Student Council.

After the formal greetings, the newly enrolled students were given a quick tour of the university's digital landscape – from online portals to the key tools they'll be working with throughout their studies. In addition, they were briefed on the fire safety protocols and building evacuation procedures on campus.

The SPRING students of the incoming Batch 2026/27 then gathered with their study coordinator, Dr. Anne Weber, for a dedicated program welcome and introduction to all forthcoming practical and organizational details.

On behalf of the entire SPRING team, we welcome the new Batch! We wish you a fantastic start into your studies and can't wait to share an exciting, inspiring academic year with you.
