Housing excursion 2026

On Friday, 19th of June MSc SPRING students went on an excursion as part of the housing class to discover a range of different housing projects across the city of Dortmund.

This included garden-city style housing for industrial workers in the early 20th century, mass housing of the 1960s and 1970s as well as cooperative housing projects from the more distant past and recent years. Overall, we found that Dortmund’s rich history of industrialization, industrial decline and structural change is reflected in the manifold housing projects across the city.
