SPRING Guest lecture: Discourse Analysis Applied to Socio-Environmental Conflicts in Brazil

This lecture presents a methodological approach to analysing socio-environmental conflicts, drawing on discourse analysis, critical tourism studies, urban planning, and policy analysis.

Prof. Dr. Mozart Fazito Rezende Filho is an associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Brazil. He holds a PhD in Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy (University College Dublin) and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Development Planning and Management (SPRING: TU-Dortmund and Ardhi University).

The SPRING International Planning Sessions are aimed at students, doctoral students and researchers of the Department of Spatial Planning, but is open to everyone interested indevelopment related topics. It is designed to provide valuable insights into the theory and practice of the field of development politics. Therefore we regularly invite researchers and practitioners from the most relevant national and international institutions.
