Md Sohel Rana (SPRING Batch 2013/15) and Nathan Namatama (SPRING Batch 2016/18) gave a presentation on the topic "Academic and professional career - challenges and advices on re-entering the job market after graduating from the Master SPRING" in which they outlined their career paths and provided valuable insights into their current roles.
Md Sohel Rana spoke about his professional career path and emphasized the relevance of networks and communities. He is currently working as Team leader at the RDRS Bangladesh and impressed the participants with a review on his work experience and passion about funding.
Nathan Namatama presented his academic career and gave a little overview about PhD research positions. Additionally he spoke about the challenges of re-entering the job market and what options are available, even if you already have a secure job.
It became clear how diverse the career options are after graduation and what paths can lead to success.
After the presentations, the students had the chance to address any questions in a Q&A session. This direct interaction with the Alumni allowed them to receive concrete advice and tips on their own interests and career goals and to gain a realistic understanding of challenges and opportunities.
We sincerely thank Md Sohel Rana and Nathan Namatam for their time and willingness to share their knowledge and experiences, and look forward to more such inspiring encounters.
