Gilbert Chilinde (Batch 2009/11) from Malawi has visited SPRING while attending the “PhD proposal development” workshop offered by the research project GOLAREA - Governance and Planning of Resilient Cities in East Africa and the annual conference of TRIALOG 2018 on “Resilient Urban Development versus the Right to the City?”
After graduating from SPRING in 2011 Gilbert Chilinde went back to Malawi to work for The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development as Physical Planner and two years later as Principal Physical Planning Officer. Since 2014 he joined the Faculty of Built Environment of University of Malawi – The Polytechnic as lecturer for Physical Planning.
